Mantel, Mantles and a Cybertruck: Celebrating Our Public Beta Launch

Good morning, Collectors!

We’re still riding high from the launch of the public beta and our celebration Tuesday night, so we’re taking a slight detour from our regularly scheduled Above the Mantel content today.

To those of you who were able to join us live, thank you for helping us celebrate the launch of www.onMantel.com with an amazing party at Wheelhouse LA! The house was packed the entire night, and it was incredible to see old and new friends rocking Mantel hats. 

If you weren’t in LA or couldn’t make it, more events are coming as we continue to build the Mantel community. We’d love to celebrate with you all.

Of course, we couldn't throw a party for collectors without bringing some 🔥, and our friends at Goldin Auctions, Rally, TheRealest, and Bleecker Trading did just that. Among the highlights- A copy of Superman 1 and game-used Kobe Bryant sneakers from Goldin, and a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth and game-worn jerseys from Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio from Rally. Plus TheRealest brought their Cybertruck to welcome attendees to the event.

And while everyone probably wanted to snag one of the two '52 Topps Mickey Mantle cards on display, we hope ripping '90 NBA Skybox packs with the Bleecker crew was a fair consolation prize... One community member even pulled a DJ Skee card from last year’s Allen & Ginter with Skee as a witness. Skee signed the card with a killer inscription- the first on-card Mantel mention to our knowledge!
